About the Role

As a Senior AI/ML Engineer, you will play an important role in NordAxon’s growth in Stockholm.

You will work closely with other AI/ML Engineers, Software Engineers, Data Scientists, customers, and business stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy AI solutions that address real business challenges.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you will combine Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and cloud technologies to build scalable, maintainable, and production-grade AI systems.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered applications and intelligent software solutions
  • Building solutions using Large Language Models, Generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and AI Agents
  • Developing Machine Learning models and deploying them into production
  • Integrating AI solutions with APIs, databases, cloud platforms, data pipelines, and enterprise applications
  • Designing scalable AI architectures and contributing to technical decisions
  • Applying modern MLOps practices, including CI/CD, model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management
  • Working directly with customers to translate business challenges into robust technical solutions
  • Supporting NordAxon’s continued growth and customer presence in the Stockholm region
  • Contributing to internal innovation, knowledge sharing, and the continuous development of NordAxon’s AI capabilities

Who We’re Looking For

You are an experienced AI/ML Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and building intelligent systems that create measurable business value.

You are curious, pragmatic, and passionate about applying modern AI technologies in real production environments. You are also comfortable working closely with customers and taking responsibility from initial requirements through implementation and deployment.

You bring:

  • At least four years of professional experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • Proven experience designing, building, and deploying production-grade AI solutions
  • Hands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar
  • Experience building solutions with Large Language Models, Generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and AI Agents
  • Experience with Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, AWS, Google Cloud, or similar cloud platforms
  • Experience integrating AI solutions with APIs, databases, modern software architectures, and data engineering pipelines
  • A solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, vector databases, MLOps, CI/CD, model deployment, monitoring, and Software Engineering best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills in English

Experience in the following areas is considered an advantage:

  • Computer Vision
  • Time Series Analysis, Forecasting, or Predictive Analytics
  • Swedish language skills

Location

This position is based in the Stockholm region.

Applicants must be based in Stockholm or the surrounding area and be able to work regularly from customer sites and NordAxon’s future Stockholm office.

Some travel to our headquarters in Malmö may occasionally be required for team activities, internal meetings, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
